Our engineering team of 10 developers works closely together; you'll report to our current senior engineer and collaborate cross\-functionally with product, design, and other teams. **Duties** * Develop backend services and RESTful APIs in PHP/Laravel and TypeScript (Node.js), focusing on payment processing and integrations. * Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for zero\-downtime, automated releases across environments. * Manage cloud infrastructure (with emphasis on Oracle OCI where applicable), container orchestration (Docker), and IaC for scalable, secure deployments. * Implement observability best practices: logging, metrics, alerting, monitoring, and incident response for production systems. * Build and optimize distributed systems for high\-volume transactions, including auto\-scaling, load balancing, and reliability engineering. * Integrate backend code with DevOps tools to enforce security, compliance (PCI\-DSS), and performance in payments workflows. * Collaborate on architectural decisions, troubleshoot production issues across the stack, and lead infrastructure\-related projects. * Mentor on DevOps practices and contributes to strategic improvements in deployment velocity and system resilience. **Requirements** * 5\+ years in backend engineering with strong DevOps/infrastructure experience, ideally in payments/fintech. * Proactive owner who drives reliability and scalability initiatives. * Strong collaborator in a fast\-paced, innovative team. * Excited to blend hands\-on coding with operational excellence in fintech. **Required Technical Qualifications** * Proficiency in any of the following languages for backend development: PHP (Laravel) ,Go, Python, or TypeScript. * Expertise in RESTful APIs and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.). * Strong experience with cloud platforms (Oracle OCI preferred; AWS/Azure/GCP acceptable), Docker. * Database expertise (MySQL) and message queuing. * Hands\-on DevOps: infrastructure automation, monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog), and secure deployments. * Knowledge of payments security/compliance (PCI\-DSS) and high\-availability systems. **Bonus Skills** * Deep Oracle OCI experience. * Advanced observability, chaos engineering, or cost optimization in cloud environments. * Fintech infrastructure (e.g., payment orchestration at scale). * Requirements are a guide, not a checklist.
